President & CEO
Briana Marbury is the President & CEO of the Interledger Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to expanding digital financial inclusion to vulnerable populations. In her role, Briana leads the strategic vision of the organization and has grown ILF from a small team of three to a global workforce of changemakers. Having firsthand experience in the challenges associated with navigating inequitable and inaccessible financial systems, Briana understands how imperative it is to enable communities an opportunity to create and lead their own financial futures.

Chief Operating Officer
Alex joined Interledger in September 2025 to lead strategic planning and oversee the foundation’s global operations, partnerships, and financial stewardship. Prior to this role, Alex spent several years as a Certified Public Accountant and auditor with national public accounting firms, serving a range of respected nonprofit organizations. His expertise in nonprofit finance and operations has made him a sought-after speaker and published contributor in the sector. As COO, Alex drives organizational alignment, ensures operational continuity, including but not limited to, finance, HR, and compliance.

Creative Director
As Creative Director at the Interledger Foundation Anna works at the intersection of technology, policy and social impact. She helps shape organizational strategy for working in new areas, build partnerships and strengthen participation across the global Interledger ecosystem.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Anna held senior leadership and advisory roles across government, education, technology and philanthropy, focusing on organizational transformation, stakeholder engagement and initiatives that create lasting social and economic impact.

Chief Program Officer
Chris is an experienced nonprofit professional who has spent the last 15 years as a dedicated educator, network builder, and advocate for nonprofit organizations. As Chief Program Officer at the Interledger Foundation, he oversees all programmatic activity across the organization.
He leads the design and delivery of global programs that fund, support, and connect builders working on open financial infrastructure. His work focuses on turning strategy into real-world implementation by supporting institutions, developers, and communities to navigate complexity and bring interoperable systems to life.

Marketing and Comms Director
Jessica leads marketing and communications at the Interledger Foundation, establishing the systems, frameworks, and narratives that connect the Foundation’s work to the people and institutions it needs to reach. Jessica brings over a decade of experience across technology, education, and social impact. Based in Mexico City, she has spent much of her career working across Latin America, leading institutional partnerships and regional strategies where digital access and equity intersect. An architect by training, Jessica brings a systems thinker’s instinct to everything she does.

Chief Technology Officer
Sabine is Chief Technology Officer at the Interledger Foundation, where she leads work on open standards including the Interledger Protocol, Open Payments, and Web Monetization. She has grown within the organization from Engineering Lead to CTO, shaping how these technologies are built and adopted. With a background spanning research, consulting, and startup leadership, she brings a systems-level perspective to her work, with a long-standing interest in data ownership and the Internet of Value.
