Policy Leader & Open Payments Advocate
Ayden Férdeline is a policy and technology leader working at the intersection of digital public infrastructure, financial inclusion, and social impact. His work spans philanthropy, global Internet governance, and open payments ecosystems, advancing interoperable digital systems and multistakeholder collaboration to expand equitable access to financial services worldwide.
Ambassador Project
Ayden initiated and chaired the United Nations Internet Governance Forum Dynamic Coalition on Digital Financial Inclusion. Through this intersessional working group, he convened policymakers, technologists, civil society leaders, and private sector actors to explore how interoperable payment systems and digital public infrastructure can advance financial inclusion while safeguarding rights and competition.
What Inspired His Work
"My path into digital financial inclusion grew out of my previous work in multistakeholder Internet governance, where I saw how technical standards quietly shape who can participate in the digital world."
His work focuses on how open, interoperable systems can help rebalance power in digital economies and expand access to financial participation.
Vision for the Future
"I envision a future where financial inclusion is built into the design of digital financial systems from the start."
He believes aligning incentives around interoperability, fair competition, and open infrastructure can create more connected systems, lower costs, and broader access to financial services.
