Most podcasts are monetized through advertising or subscriptions through platforms like Apple and Spotify which help producers earn revenue while also taking their own cut, tying listenerās consumption to their proprietary platform. What is needed is another option for podcast monetization that is as open and standards-based as podcasting itself and that connects support from listeners to the productions themselves.

We will test and develop a sustainable and collaborative way of monetization for culture creators & curators on the web, using Web Monetization to offer a better alternative than streaming business models and existing social media.
