Chioma Nwaiwu
Development Professional and Researcher
Chioma Nwaiwu is a development professional based in Nigeria with over eight years of experience in research, policy design and program delivery across public health, financial inclusion and socio-economic development. She has contributed to national research such as the Access to Financial Services in Nigeria (A2F) survey, and has advised international donors on inclusive development. Her current research examines the financial inclusion of forcibly displaced persons in Nigeria. She is an Interledger Foundation Call for Papers grantee.
Chioma Nwaiwu builds on earlier national survey data to study forcibly displaced persons in Nigeria. She maps gaps in financial inclusion across seven conflict-affected states and examines how open payments could help close them, including whether displaced people can continue to use their accounts and receive money after they move.
