Lukonga Lindunda is an innovation leader and entrepreneur with over 17 years of experience in driving digital transformation and fostering entrepreneurship in Zambia and across Africa. As the Executive Director and Co-founder of BongoHive, Zambia’s first technology and innovation hub, he has supported over 2,000 startups and MSMEs, empowering them with the resources, mentorship, and networks needed for success. Lukonga is also at the forefront of advancing Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Zambia, having led the State of AI in Zambia Survey in collaboration with ZICTA and Ubuntu AI, and contributing to the development of the country’s National AI Strategy. A strong advocate for DPI, Lukonga promotes the use of technology to enhance public services and community well-being. He has contributed as a Digital Economy Country Assessment (DECA) expert for both Zambia and Zimbabwe, working to strengthen their digital economies. He also serves as a trusted advisor to the public sector, collaborating with SmartZambia to ensure that digital infrastructure is inclusive and accessible to the startup and business communities. Lukonga’s work emphasizes customer-centric innovation, and he is a passionate advocate for gender inclusivity in tech, shaping the future of business and digital transformation in Zambia and beyond. Lukonga holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, and an MBA from the African Leadership University. He remains dedicated to leveraging technology for societal growth and economic development.
