Our vision is a world where sending payments is as easy as sending an email. This means transactions are not limited to particular banks, mobile money providers, or borders. The Interledger Foundation strives to be open, inclusive, and innovative in everything it does, providing a neutral home for the Interledger Protocol and the Open Payments standards.

Join us in Cape Town on October 19-20 2024 for our annual Interledger Hackathon! Dive into the world of Open Payments and develop innovative solutions using the Interledger Open Payments API. 

We're looking for creative solutions that:

• Simplify cross-border and cross-currency transactions: Develop tools that make international and multi-currency payments effortless and accessible.
• Enhance financial inclusion: Create applications that provide access to essential financial services.
• Automate payments and financial workflows: Build solutions to streamline payment processes, reduce friction, and increase efficiency.

First place: R90 000 cash or cash equivalent in vouchers, the value of which will be split evenly between each member of the first place team.

Second place: R50 000 cash or cash equivalent in vouchers, the value of which will be split evenly between each member of the second place team.

Third place: R20 000 cash or cash equivalent in vouchers, the value of which will be split evenly between each member of the third place team.
